Halfway up Yggdrasil's spine, where the vertebrae have pulled apart. Wind passes through every hollow and wails, and the place took its name from that sound.
Wind was a power with nowhere to go. Its runes lay scattered across Floors 5 and 6, but only a single place existed to spend what they built — so no matter how many you gathered, the build never stood up. This scar is where wind lives. Building it, reaching the threshold, and letting it break — all three now come from one place.
You will meet it climbing the tower from the 8th year of pilgrimage (level 7). It can also be opened directly at an Altar of Offering.
A report came in: "Skadi in particular is slow to use her skills."
A companion picks a skill every two seconds. But the checks for Magic and range ran only after a candidate had already been chosen. If the candidate failed there, it could not fall through to the next one — the whole two seconds were simply thrown away.
Now an unusable skill is filtered in the same instant and the next candidate is tried.
Because combat always begins at the same distance, 40 of the 68 bosses with patterns had their first move locked at 100%.
Gravity Pull and Curse Wave were the worst of it: seeing the telegraph bought you nothing.
Now the first blow of a fight is a normal attack rather than a pattern. Close the distance in that one beat and the boss's choice changes. Nothing was forbidden — room to respond was created.
The 「Majesty」 line that pulls enemies onto you had an empty grade-3 slot. It ran from grade 5 to grade 4 and stopped there.
Inside the Heart you will now find a Black Knight rune granting +50% threat at all times — a full step above any Majesty before it. If you have taken up the work of being struck, this is the last rung.
This one began as a report again. "Skadi is slow" — without that single sentence, it would have taken far longer to find. Thank you.
The pilgrimage to the Heart continues.
