Hi everyone! Just a quick post to update you on playtester feedback for the demo, as well as (estimated) launch dates and various updates. I. Playtest Feedback: What’s working and what I am fixing
First, a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to test the current build. Building a game like this as a solo dev is a huge challenge, and seeing your reactions is incredibly motivating.
The Core Experience: Many of you highlighted the dystopian noir atmosphere, the Loyalty/Merit system and the story as your favorite parts. It’s a huge relief to see that the core vision of Mandated Fate is resonating with you and that the narrative choices feel impactful. I am also very happy that an architect highlighted the realism of my architecture; it means a great deal to me.
The Polish & Fixes: You were also very honest about the remaining rough edges. Thanks to your reports, I’ve spent the last few weeks focusing entirely on the technical side. I've corrected various things: collisions, save issues, smoothed out some clunky UI interactions, and pushed optimization updates to stabilize the framerate across a wider range of PC setups.
The game is stepping up every day thanks to your input. Stay tuned for the next phase!

II. Estimate public release date Sometimes I tend to announce somewhat ambitious dates, however, I think we're close to a solid version now. I'm therefore planning to release the public demo in the coming weeks. There might still be a few minor things to polish, but it shouldn't detract from the overall experience. As for the full game, the release is currently planned for early 2027. Please know that I am extremely eager to make all this work public asap, but I am trying not to rush things!

III. Various updates
Better lighting: The lighting has been reviewed and improved in several areas
Better materials: I improved the UV mapping on the 3D building models to avoid the impression of repetition, and some textures were also made more "dirty" to bring more realism.
Lots of new text signs/posters: I've finally made most of the in-game signs, each of them has a specific text corresponding to their function
Fog resolution: you can now adjust the fog resolution in the graphics settings
Refinement of some dialogues
Subway system has been improved: more precise trajectory, improvement on the train 3D model
Many new cutscenes
New voice acting, thank you so much to the awesome actors!
Also a proper trailer is also in the works and almost finished
Thank you so much for your continuous support! ːsteamhappyːːsteamthumbsupː
