an entirely new soundtrack, programs you sign for, an office
that notices, and a rebuilt inbox.
A NEW SOUNDTRACK - ALL OF IT. 145 tracks across 16 genres: acid,
darksynth, dubstep, hardcore, hardstyle, house, industrial, jungle,
liquid, melodic techno, neurofunk, psytrance, rave, techno, trance and
UK garage. Every track is built in three layers that arrive as the night
escalates, so the music climbs with the deal instead of looping flat
behind it. Nothing from the old roster survives.
EVERY NIGHT NAMES ITS RECORD. The track title appears as each night
starts, so a song you like is a song you can go and find.
THE CURSE ECONOMY. Six voluntary programs that hand you run-long power
with a NAMED rider printed on the label. The cost is never money, and it
is stated before you sign.
THREE NEW WAYS TO CHANGE A DEAL. THE BLOTTER slips the waste-top or a
column top out of the night for $2, rising $1 each time you use it.
SPACE_HEATER.SYS runs one pass a shift over a column's face-up top.
HUNGRY.SYS is the first cursed floppy - it patches one card, and it is
hungry. DOWNSIZED.SYS closes a whole department: 39 cards, one suit slot
empty all week, and no perfect clear to chase.
THE OFFICE NOTICES. Fifteen situations now draw a reaction, in three
voices the building did not have before. On a review night, deep enough
into a career, MGMT will accept a page of your own personnel file as the
stake instead of money.
INBOX.PST REBUILT. A folder column, threaded reading, and replies that
carry consequences.
ALSO FIXED
- A near-miss drop lands where the run can legally go, so you can flick
cards across the board.
- Auto-play stacks onto a column it can build on instead of dumping the
card into an empty one.
- A legendary card gets the full ceremony now, wherever it came from.
- Score numbers rise from the card that paid them instead of piling up
over the middle of the board.
- Two HUNGRY.SYS floppies no longer share one appetite, and a hungry
card only eats what is stacked on top of it.
- Clearing the board without making quota is no longer a dead end.
- On a controller: the downloads column and the blotter are reachable,
menus scroll with the cursor, and the second drawn card can be
selected.
- Settings gained a RESET TO DEFAULTS.
- An owned plugin could end up with no panel on the felt at all.
- The CARDZONE prize claim no longer covers its own button, closes
itself, and hands focus back.
- Clearing the board is paid on the card that actually cleared it - some
clears were paying well under what they were worth.
- A prize claim could be pressed more than once for repeat coupons.
- The suits, desktop icons and window chrome are drawn in the game's own
pixel font, so they look identical on every machine.
