When casting abilities, units will have different-coloured targets on them depending on how they will be affected by the ability.
Teal target: The unit be unaffected by the ability, because they are Spellproof
(Spellproof units are now targetable by abilities, by the way.)
Grey target: The unit will be unaffected by the ability for other reasons.
Grey/Blue target: The unit will be partially affected by the ability.
Blue target: The unit will be affected by the ability normally.
Added a few clarifying error messages when clicking on invalid targets for abilities (e.g. "Unit cannot attack" when trying to Taunt a disarmed unit or a unit with 0 power.)
Added a loading screen tooltip stating that the attacker will win if they control the center hex at the end of round 7.
Here's an example of the new targeting system in action:
The Vesuvian Warlock is currently casting Searing Chains, which will burn and root its target.
The Green Dragon has a teal target icon because it's Spellproof. Targeting the Green Dragon with Searing Chains will do nothing.
The Skorg Hellion has a grey target icon because it cannot be debuffed thanks to the Troll Shaman behind it. Targeting the Skorg Hellion with Searing Chains will do nothing.
The Squire has a normal blue target icon because there's nothing special about them (sorry, Squire.) Targeting the Squire with Searing Chains will burn and root them, as per usual.
The Skyreign Pegasus has a grey/blue target icon because it's immune to having its movement modified. Targeting the Skyreign Pegasus with Searing Chains will burn them, but they'll be unaffected by the root.
The Troll Shaman has no target icon because they're out of range. You cannot target the Troll Shaman with Searing Chains.
The puzzle bot for the Thunderbolt and Lightning puzzle now correctly responds to the Tempest Mage killing the Deepwood Mystic.
The puzzle bot in the Exhaustive Options puzzle no longer cheats by moving Tristan 4 spaces.
Tacticians can now cast Tactics on themselves.
Tranquility can no longer buff allied Overheated units.
Nurture and Reclaim are no longer affected by Cast Range.
Creeping Palisade's debuff is now dispellable.
Improved how the game checks if a unit is unaffected by an ability.
