Hello everyone,
The demo of The Lost Meowgician has been updated to v0.7.1!
This update focuses on improving the combat experience. We have reworked the animation and resolution pacing of the match-3 board, redesigned the spell action queue, and added clearer feedback for tiles, spells, and combat phases.
We have reworked the animations and resolution flow of the match-3 board.
Tile clearing, falling, refilling, and follow-up resolution should now feel smoother and more connected. This should also reduce downtime during combat and make the result of each move easier to follow.
The spell action queue has been redesigned, with new visual effects added.
The process of generating spells, adding them to the queue, and casting them should now be easier to understand. Players can more clearly follow the order and timing of upcoming spell actions.
Added two-way hints between tiles and spells.
Players can now more easily see how tiles are connected to their corresponding spells, making it clearer how different tiles contribute to spell generation and combat outcomes.
Added descriptions for tile statuses.
When a tile has a special status, players can now check its description to better understand what the status means and how it affects combat.
Added clearer feedback for combat phases.
Different stages of combat now have more visible prompts, helping players understand whether the game is currently in the player action phase, spell action phase, or enemy action phase.
Thank you for continuing to play the demo and share your feedback. We will keep improving the combat pacing, feedback, and overall strategy experience of The Lost Meowgician.
