Hello everyone,
The demo of The Lost Meowgician has been updated to v0.7.0!
Last week, The Lost Meowgician participated in the Imperfect Game Festival in Shanghai. We would like to sincerely thank all players who tried the game at the event and shared their valuable feedback!
Based on what we learned from the offline playtest, we will make adjustments to the level flow, combat experience, and several game systems. The latest version from the exhibition is now available on the Steam demo.
Removed the previous map planning system.
After observing actual player experiences, we found that the map planning feature did not effectively improve strategic choices or make the game more engaging.
Now, after completing a room, players can choose the next room from multiple options. This new system makes each run’s route clearer while keeping meaningful strategic decisions.
Updated the artwork for several treasures, making their visual style more consistent and cohesive.
Redesigned the effects of several spell upgrades.
We have also adjusted the balance of spell upgrades, treasure effects, and enemy stats to create a smoother difficulty curve and reduce sudden difficulty spikes.
Improved the presentation of some random events, making their outcomes and effects easier to understand.
Adjusted and improved the rewards provided by relic rooms, making relic encounters more meaningful during a run.
The third area is temporarily unavailable in the demo. The current demo only includes the first two areas.
We will continue improving the game and adding more content based on player feedback.
Thank you again to everyone who played The Lost Meowgician at the Imperfect Game Festival and supported the game on Steam!
