Every sect has named characters: a sect master and elders with distinct personalities and signature lines, senior fellow disciples, and junior disciples. The sect page greets you with their faces, the sect headcount, and the latest happening at a glance — open the full roster to see everyone's realms, schedules, and your affinity badges.
Joining a sect plays an initiation ceremony led by the master (three scenes, skippable). Each promotion triggers an appointment ritual where the master grants your new position in their own words. Founding your own sect gets its own declaration scene.
Every day, fellow disciples may give you cultivation guidance (a 30-min speed buff), spar with you (contribution), or share sect anecdotes (affinity). Every in-game week brings a sect event: beast attacks on the mountain, an elder emerging from seclusion, festivals, or visiting cultivators from allied sects — the hosting choice is yours. A living sect feed records it all, alongside news of registered disciples (hundreds to 3000+ depending on sect rarity).
Interacting and completing sect tasks builds affinity with fellow NPCs across four tiers — Acquainted, Friendly, Close, Inseparable — with milestone gifts at each threshold. Task issuers now have faces: daily training comes from the master, battle tasks from the first elder, alchemy tasks from the second.
Fixed roster text being invisible on the light theme. The legacy multiplayer permission/approval system (a leftover skeleton from a cancelled multiplayer era) has been retired, making the sect page leaner. Old saves are fully compatible — fellow NPCs are rebuilt automatically on load.
