If you flew the demo, thank you. You already know the lander. The full release gives that lander a much bigger world, and your career a reason to cross it.
The demo took place in the rust-red Titan Cratered Highlands. At launch, Titan becomes one of 18 regions, spread across three distinct biomes. The other 17 range from flooded fjords and mossy crater fields to canyon networks, volcanic calderas, and sulfur flats.
Contracts and Bearer Record citations earn Clearance Points, which unlock new regions for that career. You can switch freely between unlocked regions from any base. Once a region has been unlocked in any career, future Standard careers can start there too.
The full release brings in new hazards:
Dust storms and EM squalls move across the landscape.
Gravimetric surges sweep the ground.
Rift cyclones can overpower lateral thrust.
High-altitude wind rivers can carry the lander at speed - if you enter them in the right direction.
Contribution carriers also visit permanent anchorages. While one is overhead, its temporary cargo terminal opens a new set of lucrative outbound jobs.
I have more things I want to bring to the game in the next updates - some of them I already hinted at in the Steam Discussions. More about that next week!
Thank you to everyone who wishlisted it, played the demo, shared a flight, sent feedback, or reported the strange edge cases.
I hope you find plenty of quiet satisfaction in settling a heavy ship onto the pad - and the particular panic of realizing you started braking much too late.
Safe flying.
