Ruin · published · build 24711050

Welcome to all of you who just joined Ruin to help gather feedback on the Early Access launch of the game, we've set up a quick survey. It would help us out greatly if you could take a few minutes to complete it!

Ruin Early Access Feedback

Totally anonymous, totally up to you but it would help us out a lot to get your opinion!

Recent Patch Notes

Housing & Building

  • Tiles within your house boundary can no longer be changed by other players.
  • Only players listed under the house through Shared Accommodation or Renting can interact with tiles and furniture inside the property.
  • Replaced the old circular house boundary with a square visual boundary. Everything inside the square is considered your land and cannot be modified by other players unless they have permission through Building Management.
  • Houses can now be built closer together, allowing areas such as Nightrun to fit player housing more tightly.
  • Increased the font scaling in House Management to make the interface easier to read.

Terrain & Digging

  • You can no longer create extremely deep holes by repeatedly digging the same area.
  • Adjacent terrain tiles must now remain within 50 depth of each other before you can dig deeper! The Hole Gang can finally rest easy. No more rescuing unfortunate adventurers trapped at the bottom of massive holes.

Creatures & Loot

  • Fixed Bear animations, including death, attack, forward movement, and dodge animations.
  • Bandit Rangers and Bears can now drop gear.
  • Fixed an issue in Broodmother's Lair where players could be grabbed and become stuck in the ceiling. A bug caused by a bug — no pun intended.

Player Improvements

  • You can now see when other players level up.

Performance

  • Added several server performance improvements.
  • Started another client performance pass to improve FPS and general stability.
  • Client performance work will continue into the next patch as well.

More fixes and improvements are on the way as Early Access continues.
