Movement and Collision
Improved movement while standing, walking and jumping on moving boats.
Reduced snapping and rubberbanding when boats turn or stop.
Fixed furniture collisions being able to push players beneath the terrain.
Improved collision recovery when moving around tightly placed furniture.
Building placement now checks the actual shape of nearby objects more accurately.
Placement previews should now agree more closely with whether the server allows placement.
Water Improvements
Players now create proper wakes while wading or swimming.
Mounts create larger wakes as they move through water.
Jumping and landing in water now creates a splash, even when already standing in shallow water.
Moving boats now leave a large wake behind them.
Shore waves now move towards the coast with varied timing and distance.
Waves no longer break everywhere at exactly the same time.
Added improved foam patterns and beach wash that moves up and down the shore.
Shore effects now recover properly when nearby terrain loads late.
Water now responds more naturally to changing wind.
Improved water transparency, reflections, ripples and shoreline blending.
World Visuals
Fixed distant areas appearing black while their shadows were loading.
Distant shadows now appear at a lower quality before smoothly changing to higher detail as you approach.
Improved the appearance of lower detail distant shadows.
Clouds now cast matching moving shade across terrain, buildings, trees, clutter, characters, equipment, painted canvases and water.
Equipped gear now uses the correct world lighting.
Character portraits and menu previews remain clearly lit instead of being affected by outdoor weather.
Wind now travels across the world in visible gusts.
Trees, bushes, grass, capes, rain and water react as gusts pass through an area.
Housing and Building
Stone Hut is correctly recognised as a player’s first house.
Town Halls and personal houses are now treated as separate buildings.
Fixed cases where placing a Stone Hut could show or create a Town Hall.
Fixed incorrect construction models appearing in placement previews.
Guild members without a house can now build their first house inside their guild’s claim.
Improved Town Hall and building collision checks around nearby world objects.
Improved server responsiveness when many buildings, furniture pieces and processing stations are active.
World Gates
The two gates in the Highlands can now be opened by players.
All three Nightrun gates remain available to open.
Public gates continue to close automatically after 30 seconds.
Public gates cannot be spammed to extend their opening time.
More placed gates can now be configured as public or disabled for future areas.
