Another small patch today aimed at making the game feel/look a bit better as well as adding in some settings for adjusting the new controller systems added in the patch from yesterday. Please keep the feedback coming, I am admittedly a mouse and keyboard player myself so I need your help making sure that it feels as good on the controller as it does on mouse and keyboard.
Cory and I have been hard at work this past week trying to make Orb Breaker as fun as we can given we're a two person team! This marks our 8th patch and we think the game is in a much better state than it was on launch and that's thanks to you and your feedback/ideas. Thank you! Please consider leaving a Steam review, it really helps indie devs like us a lot! As always thank you for playing our game (or games if you've played our other games) making video games is truly a dream come true for both Cory and myself and we can't thank you enough for playing our game.
Cheers,
Andy (Aarimous)
Orb Beaker is officially Steam Deck Verified!
Please let us know in the Steam Discussion if you run into any bugs or have feedback for how we can make the Steam Deck/Controller support feel even better!
Changed auto lock so that it will now fall off of enemies that are moving to fast
My goal here is basically prevent it from auto missing when enemy is moving since you need to aim in front of it.
I'll keep fine tuning auto lock as you all keep giving us feedback
Added setting to adjust how much the auto lock will stay snapped for enemies that are moving
Added a setting to adjust the aim assist strength
In boss rush mode the timer will now pause in the summary screen
Update the animation for how the orb disappear when they hit an object
Really just a game feel change, but I think this looks a lot better!
When the player is hit the red particles are now larger
When a crit orb hits something the particles are now larger and rainbow colored
Tweaked the sound effects
Please let us know if you still feel any pain points, while Orb Breaker is inherently a skill based game we also want to make sure you are properly challenged.
How to reach us?
Make a post over in the Steam Discussions. We read all the posts and especially during launch week, we're a 2 person team and can usually fix a bug within minutes (unless it's a tricky one!)
