We have identified accounts that used abnormal methods to play the game or purchase products by exploiting recent security vulnerabilities.
Rather than simply taking action against the account in question, we intend to strengthen our overall game security system by addressing the root cause of the issue to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
Additionally, as an issue occurred today where incorrect measures were applied to some legitimate users during the restriction process, we plan to not only prevent abnormal gameplay and product purchases but also improve our internal verification systems to more accurately verify related data so that incorrect measures are not applied to Heroes who are playing the game normally.
To this end, the following security enhancement measures are scheduled to be applied in next week's update.
■ Enhanced game data server verification
We will improve the server to verify that major game data is generated and changed according to normal procedures.
We will continue to create a more stable environment by ensuring that abnormally manipulated data is not reflected in the game.
■ Enhanced Product Purchase Verification
We will strengthen the verification procedures for product information and the purchase process.
We will improve the system to prevent abnormal client controls and ensure that purchase requests that do not match the information registered on the server are not processed.
■ Enhanced client protection features
We will enhance app protection features to detect game client tampering and unfair interference through external programs.
To protect the playing environment of Heroes who use the game normally, we will restrict game access if any abnormal usage environments are identified.
