We are providing the results of our initial investigation into cheating via unauthorized programs and our future response policy.
After investigating data from a total of 4,812,999 accounts over the last 40 days, we confirmed records of suspected fraudulent activity in 23,244 accounts.
Permanent restrictions have been applied to 14,710 accounts confirmed to have used unauthorized programs during this period.
Any cheating involving unauthorized programs will result in a permanent ban if even a single instance is confirmed. No exceptions will be made regardless of the frequency of use, the scale of illicitly obtained assets, or whether the account has made purchases.
We are currently verifying and taking follow-up actions regarding the remaining suspicious accounts. While the order of processing may vary depending on the severity, we plan to take action against all detected violating accounts to the end.
We will gradually expand our investigation range to thoroughly check even past usage records. Even if you have not been sanctioned currently, it does not mean you are excluded from the investigation or that violations will be tolerated.
Even if use has been discontinued, if past instances of improper use are confirmed, the same permanent restriction measures will be applied.
However, we do not conclude that fraudulent use has occurred based solely on suspicious records. We will carefully distinguish between issues occurring during normal use, such as communication errors during the payment process, and intentional misconduct, and will take sanctions only after verifying the relevant records. If you wish to appeal a restriction on use, you may request a review through the Customer Center.
We sincerely apologize for the harm and sense of deprivation caused to those who have been playing the game normally.
We will conduct thorough investigations and take action without exception to ensure that no benefits gained through unfair use are permitted.
