[Announcement] Follow-up Actions for the September 2 Update

GrandChase · published

Hello, this is Tomo.

We have been carefully reading through all of the feedback you have shared with us since the September 2 update. While we are happy to see that you are enjoying the Jumping Event, we are also taking the concerns caused by the changes to the Overall Combat Power Formula and the disappointment surrounding Ereb's Awakening very seriously.

In particular, we understand that many of you may have felt frustrated by the changes to the Total Battle Power Formula.

Our original intention was to establish a solid foundation for Total Battle Power so that it could serve as a reliable benchmark for character growth. However, while adjusting how stats such as 'Critical Chance, MP Recovery, Hell Spear Damage, and Back Attack Damage' are reflected in the formula, the changes were more drastic than intended and seem to have differed somewhat from what you expected to see in-game.

We also recognize that we should have taken a closer look at factors such as the need for MP/AP Recovery for AP characters and Critical Chance exceeding 120%, as well as provided clearer information about our plans moving forward. We sincerely apologize for the disappointment this has caused.

We are preparing better adjustment plans based on the valuable feedback you have shared with us. As some of the changes could not be included in this update, we will also share our plans for future improvements. Since these changes directly affect the enjoyment of gearing up and developing your characters every day, we will work to address these concerns as quickly as possible.

We would also like to talk about Ereb's performance.
As we took a cautious approach to areas where Ereb could become overly powerful under certain conditions or situations, we ended up not paying enough attention to how the character feels and how convenient he is to play under normal circumstances. Ereb is a character that many of you have been eagerly anticipating and waiting for, so we will continue to refine him to ensure that he is both fun and satisfying to play in everyday gameplay. We will also continue to monitor gameplay data and trends following the update and share our plans for improvements to Ereb accordingly.

We always want to deliver updates that meet everyone's expectations, but we recognize that there are still areas where we have room to improve. Even so, we believe that your thoughtful and passionate feedback helps us move the game in a better direction. We will do our best to make these improvements quickly and carefully, and to repay the trust you have placed in us.

Thank you.
