Friends-pass
Thats right dear B.G.S members! On launch, Board Game Society will have friends-pass!
"Frie... wha? Whats a F...friend pass?" you might ask yourself right now, and let me tell you, its the best dang thing.
A Friends-pass is a downloadable version of the game that you can download for free, to play the game together with a friend that owns the full game, for free! No matter for how long, and however much you want.
If you play the friends pass version of B.G.S, you will be able to join players who own the full game with either a "Quick-join" code that the host will have available after creating a lobby, or via a steam-friends invite to the game lobby (yes, friends pass players can invite other friends pass players to the same lobby). We've tried our utmost to make it as easy as possible for friends to play together.
"So what's the catch?"
Well, you can't start your own games, not multiplayer nor singleplayer. You cant join random peoples games online either, so you are pretty much stuck with having to find... FRIENDS. And worst of all... you can't customize your dice! A fate worse than death according to us here at Jetebra, but lines had to be drawn somewhere I'm afraid.
"But... why would you do this?"
Honestly... the reason we are doing a friends pass that is this open, is for a rather simple reason. We want as many people as possible to be able to play our game, together. There is not much more to it.
We wanted to announce this, as always, a bit earlier than what we did. We hope that you will be able to rally together your friends, family and whatever else you might have to play Board Game Society a bit easier now with this friends-pass in mind.
