Captains,

This update adds new consequences for submarine damage. Your boat is no longer just taking numbers on a gauge. Damage now affects performance and survival.

As the sub takes damage, its top speed is reduced. Heavy damage can also cause the boat to sink, forcing you to deal with the problem before the deep claims more than paint and rivets.

To recover from flooding damage, players can now use Damage Control Plugs, also called DC Plugs. These are used to patch floods and keep the boat fighting a little longer. DC Plugs can be crafted from scrap metal at the workbench.

The workbench has also been updated. Crafted items are now placed into the storage locker next to the workbench instead of being placed on the ground. This should make crafting cleaner and better suited for shared boat operations.

Inventory handling has also been improved. Complete stacks of inventory items can now be transferred by holding Left Shift while moving items.

Changes in this update:

  • Submarine damage now reduces top speed.

  • Severe damage can cause the boat to sink.

  • Flooding damage can be repaired with Damage Control Plugs.

  • Damage Control Plugs can be crafted from scrap metal at the workbench.

  • Crafted items are now placed in the storage locker next to the workbench.

  • Holding Left Shift while transferring items now moves complete stacks.

Keep metal between you and the water.
