Major Update 1.20 introduces one of our biggest Referee Mode additions yet: the new VAR Room.
You can now step inside a complete VAR room and analyze controversial incidents in detail before making the final decision yourself.
📺 NEW VAR ROOM
When you enter the VAR Room, you'll have all the tools you need to examine an incident from virtually every possible perspective:
Choose between the different available camera angles.
Move precisely backwards and forwards through the incident using a high-precision timeline slider.
Slightly adjust the angle and position of each camera to get a better view.
Inspect offside lines with a magnifying glass.
Replay the incident as many times as you want — there is no time limit.
Switch to an interactive 3D view and move freely around the scene in slow motion to analyze the incident from virtually any angle.
Basically, it's the closest we've come to turning you into Tom Cruise in Minority Report... except you'll be deciding penalties and offsides. 😅
⚖️ NEW VAR REVIEW SYSTEM
We've also simplified how automatic VAR interventions work.
Whenever VAR needs to review an important incident — such as a questionable goal, possible penalty or red card — you'll receive an invitation to take part in the review.
Accept it and you'll enter the VAR Room, where you can analyze the incident yourself and determine the official outcome of the review.
Once you've finished, you can keep your original decision or overturn it and make a new one. The referee always has the final say, but your decision will be evaluated and you'll receive positive or negative points depending on whether you got it right.
📋 CLEARER REFEREE MATCH REPORTS
We've improved the new referee match report introduced in recent updates. Each entry now displays the corresponding team's badge, making it much easier to quickly identify and review incidents from the match.
🔥 FINAL 2026-27 SQUAD UPDATE
We've also updated the 2026-27 squads one more time to reflect the latest moves following the close of the summer transfer window.
