We have optimized the internal online engine to make multiplayer matches feel much smoother, more stable and more satisfying.
Ball movement now feels much smoother online.
Player movement is more fluid and better synchronized.
Matches can combine human players and AI up to a total of 22 players on the pitch.
The whole online experience feels more transparent, with less getting between you and the match.
More players. Smoother action. A better football match.
🖥️ SMARTER AUTOMATIC VAR AND DECISION CANCELLATION
We have improved the automatic VAR system and the way decisions can be reviewed or corrected in Referee Mode.
Automatic VAR interventions are now much more realistic.
VAR takes a few seconds to come in, just like in real football.
VAR will suggest that you review the play, but it will not make the final decision for you.
You can now cancel your previous decision, review the situation and make the new call yourself.
If you notice a mistake without waiting for VAR, you have a short window to blow the whistle again, cancel the decision and correct the call.
The pressure is still yours. The final decision is still yours. That is what makes refereeing intense.
🩺 NEW INJURED PLAYER MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
Referee Mode now also includes injured player management.
If a player gets injured, you can stop the match, walk up to them and ask how they are feeling.
Depending on their answer, they may be substituted automatically or decide to keep playing.
Managing the situation correctly gives you extra referee points.
Ignoring an injured player when you should stop the match will penalize your referee performance.
Referee Mode is no longer only about fouls and cards.
Now you also have to manage the match like a real referee. 🧑⚖️ MORE ACCURATE REFEREE GESTURES
We have redesigned the referee gesture detection engine.
Gestures are now recognized much better in different situations.
Sitting, standing, left-handed, right-handed and different match positions are now handled more reliably.
This also fixes cases where gestures such as goal kick and corner kick could sometimes be confused.
Your decisions now feel faster, clearer and more precise.
🟥 DOGSO RULE PROPERLY APPLIED
The DOGSO rule is now applied according to the regulations.
The game can better determine when denying an obvious goal-scoring opportunity should result in a yellow or red card.
This applies both when playing as the referee and when playing as a footballer.
Some tackles are not just fouls. Some tackles can change the match.
🦵 MORE REALISTIC TACKLES AND AERIAL DUELS
Physical play has received several improvements.
The AI now performs cleaner sliding tackles, making matches more fluid and reducing unnecessary fouls.
Player sliding tackles have also been improved in both first-person and third-person views.
It is now easier to touch the ball and avoid ending up with a yellow card.
Some players can perform high-leg sliding tackles, creating a higher injury risk for the opponent.
The AI now jumps for contested aerial balls, trying to anticipate the play and win the position like in real football.
Football is more physical. Duels feel more alive. And if you are the referee, you had better stay alert.
⚽ IMPROVED SHOOTING
Shooting has also been improved in both Expert Control and Standard Control.
Shots on goal using Expert Control are now easier, more natural and more satisfying.
Curved shots with Standard Control have also been improved.
When you tilt your head or rotate your hand to add curve, the system now calibrates the shot automatically to better support the effect and help the ball stay on target.
Shooting feels better, cleaner and more rewarding. 🏃 MORE REALISTIC ANIMATIONS
We have improved several animations to make matches feel more alive.
Fall animations have been improved so players react more naturally to strong tackles.
Player animations during brawls have been improved.
Players also behave more naturally during pauses and while waiting for play to resume.
The match now feels more alive even when the ball is not moving. 🎥 NEW END-OF-MATCH REPLAY SYSTEM
The replay system after each match now shows more than just goals.
Spectacular plays that do not end in a goal can also appear in the replay sequence.
If the match was played in Referee Mode, you may also see yourself officiating in the replays.
Spectacular tackles that ended with a yellow card can also appear, giving you a chance to review how well you handled the situation.
Not every great moment is a goal.
