0.13.7 is here bringing a bit of a scattershot of fixes and changes, featuring prominently our nearly finished map, the Dome! We didn't manage to add new weapons yet, they are in active development as I write this update...
Main work
The dome map is mostly finished, with only some minor outstanding detailing and of course playtesting!
Further work on overhauling builder UI, restoring features that got lost in the process such as transform options
Added "Diode TV" which sends a tv feed to special screens in the environment. This feature is still being worked on!
Added new attack/defence game mode where 1 team has to capture 3 control points that become permanently locked once captured. This game mode is available for Dome, Desert and Factory levels.
Small features
Menu backgrounds have been modified further, this is still experimental at this point
Added new experimental hit sounds
Overhaul of the score screen UI
Further stability improvements for the new wheels, in particular for builds when reduced to 1-3 wheels
Recolouring and polishing of UI elements
Added special post processing effects for camera when submerged in acid or lava
When hosting a custom match, options that are ignored for the given settings and game mode are now automatically greyed out
Added sun flare effect
Changed tier icons
Explosions can now induce camera shake
Bugfixes
Dome sawblades now do lots of damage
Cores are now available for purchase in the builder menu, since they were no longer available after removing the dedicated part shop menu
You can no longer kick or award yourself in the in-game player list, I have no idea how we didn't think of this
Fixed problem where the in-game player list menu could stick on the screen after returning to the main menu
Added additional checks to avoid the player spawning in before the level is fully loaded, which could lead to the player falling into the void and dying before the match start
Fixed problem where part explosions would always appear on the core in stead of the part that was destroyed
Fixed bug preventing kills from being recorded into match rewards
Overhauled the garage carousel to be much more robust against random clicking
Fixed an offset in the mini map image leading to a wobbly looking rotation
Repaired screen shake effect, which we didn't realize was broken for many verions
Removed vestiges of the old continuous FFA mode, FFA should now resolve cleanly with a normal time limit
