Brimir Update (v1223)
This update turns on one hinge — what you kill should count, and you should know before you climb.
Warden purification commissions did not work that way. Nobody can know which Warden a Rift will hold, yet the Temple asked you to name one in town beforehand. Strike down a Warden you hadn't named and the whole climb was wasted, and you waited a dozen expeditions for that Rift to open again. You were asked to choose in advance something that cannot be chosen in advance.
Neither did your kit. You learned your pack was overloaded only when the portal turned you away, and whether a party slot sat empty — or whether you could still take another contract — meant opening every facility one by one.
⚔️ Strike it down, and it counts
- Warden purification now counts the moment you kill. No commission to take beforehand. If the Warden is on the purification register, the Blessing arrives the instant it falls in the Rift
- The "Purification Commission" tab is now the "Purification Register." The accept button is gone; what remains is who is still unpurified, where they are, and what they grant. The act happens in the Corpse-World, not in town
📜 Two contracts at a time
- Temple purification and Rune Archive contracts now hold two at once — the same as the Guild
- Abandoning one no longer sweeps away the other
🏛 Standing with the Temple makes teaching cheaper
- Rank benefits now apply to Awakening and to learning prayers — up to 30% as a Devotee of the Temple. Until now, raising your rank moved you not one step closer to the largest goal
- In exchange, Temple shop goods return to full price. Goods are bought again and again, so a discount there was cutting a tax rate rather than a price
🎒 Before you leave, you can see what's missing
Your kit and your contracts now sit at the top of the town screen at all times.
- Kit — pack weight, party size, empty Soul Vials, Return and Reflux Stones
- Contracts — how many you hold at the Guild, the Temple and the Mage Tower, and whether any reward is waiting to be claimed
- Guild, Blessing and Research points now sit beside your Geld
The colour is the message. Grey means you're set. Yellow means you'll leave something behind if you climb like this. Green means there's something to collect right now. Red means you can't climb at all. No more being turned away at the portal for weight you didn't know you were carrying.
🌀 Elsewhere
- A new Rift opens on Floor 6 — the Maelstrom of Harmony
🔧 Fixed
- Summoning the Gravekeeper did nothing at all
- Elixirs received from hidden pieces arrived as hollow shells with no description and no weight — all 11 kinds
- Long descriptions pushed the rune panel wider in the inventory
- Chronicle wording that disagreed with what the screen actually said
- Some new spells and elixirs still showed in Korean when playing in English
The pilgrimage to the heart continues.
