When Big Bad Pharma launched, some of its art was AI-generated: the capsule art, the logo, the achievement icons and the store page images. You told me that mattered to you, and you were right. As of today none of it is left. Every piece has been redrawn by hand (and mouse).
What has been replaced
Achievement icons — all 21, redrawn and swapped in.
The logo — redrawn from scratch, and it is now the logo on the store page, in your library and in the client.
Store capsules — header, main, small, vertical and library capsules.
Library hero and page background — the last two, done today.
Everything is drawn as flat vector art in the game's own palette, so the store page, the library and the icons finally look like the same game.
On the achievement icons
These went in first because they were the ones you saw most often. All 21 are hand-drawn, with matching locked versions.
Why it took a few weeks
I am one person, I am not an illustrator by trade, and at launch I used AI art to fill gaps I did not have the time to fill myself. That was the wrong call. Learning to create these took longer than shipping a patch, but it is done, and every asset from here on is made by hand. I know they are far from perfect and I'd hate to admit how long it took me!
I don't think I have ever had such a productive week in my life, happy weekend everyone!
