Brimir Update (v1336)

📖 The heart of this update — the pilgrimage now has a story

Until now, climbing the Corpse-World had a destination but no story.
This update lays down seven chapters of a pilgrim's record, from the Foot to the Heart's Threshold.

Your Journey now names what to do on each stretch, and when you do it and return to town,
you learn something you didn't know about that place. The blacksmith puts your scrap of iron
on the anvil. The relic dealer holds fallen masonry up to his lamp. The shipwright reads your waterline.

None of it vanishes after one reading. It is written into your Codex, to be read again any time.

  • Each chapter answers the question the last one raised — and raises a new one.
  • The Shin opens only when you have walked all four branches — there is something a single road never shows you.
  • Death does not undo it. Your progress through the record is kept on your account.

🆕 New content / additions

  • Gigantification now lands with a shockwave — the moment you grow, nearby enemies are knocked back and staggered. No damage, but it cuts casts short.
  • Journey greatly expanded — condition, fishing, rune research, the temple's blessing, hiring navigators, measuring your damage, and more. Things that had no guidance before are now on one page.
  • A companion's path — awakenings for Korbin (the raven), Fenri (Garn), Baldr (the bulwark) and Eir (the benediction) are now listed. The list tells you where to take them.
  • What the legends keep to themselves — Alba, Brin, Lena, Korbin, Finn and Fenri will speak of their own past, but only to a pilgrim who has walked with them a long while. It is about why they cannot die, and why they follow you.
  • Ten relics newly assigned — finished relics that had nowhere to drop are now placed with their wardens. Claw and dagger ladders, the Greatsword of Rot, the Sigil of Radiance, the Holy Bow and others now actually drop.

⚖️ Balance

  • Obsidian Carapace · Bedrock Helm — stacks no longer vanish all at once the moment you go a short while without being hit. They now come down one step at a time. Hardening as you take hits still feels the same, but stepping back for a breath no longer sends you to zero.

🔧 Bug fixes

  • The relic chest lied about being "fully gathered" — the chest refused to open even though relics were still missing. Nine relics are back in the chest pool, including three Spirit King sigils. Thank you for the report.
  • The second vial still charged the discounted price — after the first-vial seed discount was spent, the checkout still used the old price (the card showed one number and charged another). Prices are now recalculated at the moment of purchase. Thank you for the report.
  • Condition kept draining on the victory screen — time passed while you were deciding who should take a rune, and condition fell with it. Time now stops on screens the game opens for you. Take as long as you like. Thank you for the report.
  • Attack speed was missing from Beast Form and the frenzy passives — it was applying the whole time, but the buff slot only showed attack power. It now shows both attack power and attack speed.
  • Rebound command keys didn't update the slot display — changing a companion command key in settings left the old key on screen. Korbin's Silence can now be rebound as well.

The pilgrimage to the Heart continues.
