Brimir Update (v1048)
🏘 Midgard — the town is a painting now
This build repaints Midgard entirely.
🚪 Locked facilities — we tell you why instead of hiding them
Facilities you hadn't unlocked simply had nobody there. The shipyard stood in plain sight with no Shipwright beside it, which left the town feeling empty and gave you no idea what was still ahead.
- Those you haven't met yet now keep their posts. They stand faded, and speaking to them tells you what they're waiting for
- "The Shipwright builds no ships yet. They say he only takes work from one who has seen the Great Sea, on floor 6."
- All thirteen companions stand in the Hideout as well. Those not yet with you appear faded — an empty place becomes your next goal
🌅 First steps — for those beginning the pilgrimage
The place new pilgrims stopped most often was not in front of a monster. It was the first screen of the town. We handed you 10,000 Geld and said "buy equipment," with no way to know what to buy.
- We pack your bags instead of paying you. You now set out with a weapon, armor, potions, food and camping gear. Potions and meat are already bound to [1][2][3]
- The prologue leads straight into the Corpse-World. The town comes after your first climb — so the first thing you buy is bought with Geld you earned
- Learn the Feet before you leave the Feet. Four different beasts live in the four quarters of floor 1. You cannot climb higher until you have met all four and reached level 2
- Pilgrims whose Codex already holds eight or more species are exempt — we won't march you down a road you know
- We now tell you where to reach for a Return Stone. The menu in combat, the character screen outside it. Three escapes you don't know how to use are no escapes at all
The pilgrimage to the Heart continues.
