I released quite few fixes and improvement for the demo in preparation of the upcoming release.
Besides the things you can see and test in the demo, I also added new and interesting mechanics to the full game.
Safe flying!
Every settlement now uses a new low-poly architecture set with a clearer industrial identity. Landing surfaces and structure collision now match the visible architecture more accurately.
Brighter materials and improved batching make settlements easier to read while reducing rendering cost.
Pilots now have one final option when a normal landing is no longer possible.
Hold Ascend and Descend together for three seconds to deploy the emergency chute.
Deployment violently slows the ship, but the impact damages systems and disables the main thruster, boosters, and Retro Assist until touchdown.
Limited lateral steering remains available while the chute forces a slow descent.
Every completed run can now leave a permanent mark on your career.
The new Bearer Record tracks successful deliveries and rift offerings, genuine base-to-base flights, clean legs, bases reached, your heaviest accepted load, longest flight, and vehicle losses.
Successfully accepted cargo mass raises your designation from Provisional Bearer through to Bearer of Equilibrium.
Every new citation tier awards an additional Clearance Point automatically, creating another path toward unlocking maps (sadly, no map unlocking in the demo ;)
The classic HUD and optional 3D cockpit now share the same status thresholds, warning states, tutorial highlights, map markers, and instrument scales.
Revised crosshairs and cockpit sight alignment make the ship's heading easier to read.
Gamepad throttle adjustment and yaw braking are more precise.
The HOV readout now estimates the thrust needed to counter gravity more accurately.
Cargo boards now cover available destinations before repeating routes and offer jobs suited to the installed cargo bay.
Upgrade levels now use individually authored prices and effects, making early improvements easier to reach while preserving meaningful long-term goals.
Flight and economy upgrade descriptions now communicate their limits and effects more clearly.
Fuel is now shown with a clear fill gauge alongside its exact mass and capacity.
Booster charges use individual illuminated segments, making remaining bursts easier to read at a glance.
Service controls and guided onboarding actions receive more reliable focus when entering the base interface with a gamepad.
