Yes, you did read it correctly, Road Diner Simulator will have a multiplayer mode.
The entire game is build around a
cooperative multiplayer experience that you will be able to take for spin in the upcoming Demo. That being said, you will naturally be able to play on your own like any other of our games, but now you will also have the option to invite 1, 2 or even 3 of your friends to join you. You will be able to enjoy the single player campaign as you are used to from our other games, but you can also jump into multiplayer right away. Although we'd advise to take the game for spin in its single player mode first to learn the ropes. That is not to say that multiplayer doesn't have any guidance, far from it. It's just in single player mode the learning experience is differently paced and integrated into the story while the multiplayer mode puts all players right into the full fledged experience. Some of you might at this point be wondering why we haven’t announced Road Diner having multiplayer earlier? While multiplayer was always part even of the earliest design of the game, we decided to wait with officially announcing it until we had multiplayer fully developed and working internally - with all the associated components like lobby, data optimization, etc.
