Hello everyone!
We've been working hard on the SOS demo and wanted to share an update on where things stand.A portion of the demo's story content has been completed and is currently in post-production — including editing, pacing, color grading, and voice/sound integration. This stage takes time, but it's key to delivering a more polished and immersive experience. We hope to have it ready for you soon.
On top of content production, we've also built an internal tool called SOS Tool —
a dedicated editor for creating story segments and configuring in-game choices. By making content more configurable, we can produce story content more efficiently, adjust flows more easily, and iterate faster throughout development. This tool will also serve as a key foundation for future updates to SOS.
Regarding the demo, we plan to first release it through Steam Playtest, allowing everyone to experience the game early and help us gather feedback to further refine the experience. After the Playtest phase, we will make optimizations based on player feedback and then release a publicly downloadable demo available to all players.
We will announce the specific release date as soon as preparations are complete. We kindly ask for your patience — and a huge thank you to every player who has followed SOS, added it to their wishlist, or offered suggestions. Your support has always been our greatest motivation to keep moving forward. Finally, on behalf of our editing team, we'd like to ask you a question:Given the same story content, would you prefer a more streamlined visual style and tighter storytelling, or a more rhythmically paced narrative with richer environmental details and close-up shots? In other words — between storytelling coherence and rhythmic pacing, which matters more to you?
