Hi everyone!
Today I only have one update, but it took a lot of time to complete.
As I already mentioned in the Hotfix itself, I moved the entire garage ecosystem into the office system, and honestly, I’m a little worried about the issues that may appear after such a major change.
I tested a lot of things, but it’s physically impossible for me to check absolutely everything. So if you find any bugs, strange behavior, or inconsistencies, please let me know!
I also want to share some of my plans for the near future.
Adding a separate level system for the garage mechanic
I want to give the mechanic their own progression system, as well as add an automatic vehicle repair feature.
Players will be able to set the vehicle condition percentage at which the mechanic will automatically send it for repairs.
Garage upgrade rework
The garage upgrade system will be reworked.
The garage itself will mainly be responsible for the number of parking spaces, while upgrades related to vehicles and maintenance will be moved directly to the mechanic.
Adding worker happiness / comfort requirements
I’m thinking about making this system work around the setup of the worker’s environment rather than the worker’s desk itself.
For example, one decorative object could be required for each NPC level.
I also want to add an effect radius to decorative objects, so they only affect workers who are actually nearby.
Notification window
Soon, there will be a separate window where you’ll be able to view all received notifications at once or filter them by category.
I also want to add the ability to enable or disable specific types of notifications.
For example, some players closely follow changes in material market prices, while others simply buy 100 units at a time and don’t really think about it again.
Everyone has their own way of playing, and I want to give you the ability to customize the game in a way that feels comfortable for you.
New foreman system
At the moment, I’m already sketching out the basic “skeleton” of the future panel by hand.
It will most likely look like a notebook or something similar to a personal employee file for the foreman.
It’s still difficult to say what the final functionality will look like, but I would like to give each foreman their own level.
Their level will increase by successfully completing contracts.
When leveling up, the foreman will receive points that you’ll be able to distribute between different skills, for example:
— Cost Saving
— Speed
— and other parameters.
A little lower in the panel, I also plan to add several sliders. Their exact functionality hasn’t been fully decided yet.
But next to them, there should finally be that long-awaited button — “Auto Start”.
The idea is that after pressing the “Assign to Foreman” button on a contract and choosing the employee you want, the foreman will be able to automatically fill everything required to prepare that contract.
I still have many more ideas further down the list, but for now they are more like future plans rather than specific tasks for the next few days.
But I think you can already see that I’m trying to work and add new features as quickly as possible.
Thank you for all your ideas in the comments, discussions, and messages!
I’m literally stopping myself from writing even more here because I’m worried that this amount of text is already becoming too much to read. 🙂
Thank you for staying with me and continuing to support the project.
And as always:
I fix. I read. I work! 🦝🔧
Thank you! ❤️
