Splatchinko Demo · published
I'm rolling out a new polish update for the Splatchinko demo! Version 0.8.1 focuses on rounding out some of the new features introduced in the massive 0.8 patch, improving the tutorials, and adding even more beautiful artwork to the game.
Here is everything new in this update:
More Art by Federico Tramonte: The enemy UI and character portraits have received further improvements! Plus, I've added brand-new, hand-drawn enemy asteroids created by Federico to make the encounters look even better.
Planetary Scene Update: Enemy creatures will now only be visible in the Planetary Scene after you have successfully defeated them in combat. A little bit of mystery makes the discovery much more rewarding!
Inside Loop Ball Redesign: The Inside Loop Ball has been completely redesigned! Give it a try and let me know how it fits into your builds now.
Solidified Tutorials: I've made the main tutorial much more solid and reliable to help new players learn the ropes without hiccups.
Bonus Game Tutorial: I've also added a brand-new, dedicated tutorial specifically for the bonus game!
Safe First Encounters: To make early runs less punishing, I've ensured that the very first time you visit a mysterious (?) Event node, it will never give you a negative event.
Map Node Balancing: Tweaked the "weight" of the map nodes to ensure a better, more balanced path generation during your runs.
General QoL: Added various Quality of Life improvements across the board to make the UI and gameplay feel smoother.
Demo Ending Screen: Fixed a bug that was affecting the final screen at the end of the demo.
Text & Localization: Addressed various minor text bugs and typos throughout the game.
Thank you so much to everyone who has been playing and giving feedback since the 0.8 release! Jump in, check out the new asteroids, and as always, let me know your thoughts on the Steam forums.
Have fun,
Fabio Taurisano.
