Attention! The Game Is Going Free!

Hi, Ells&Pills is here!

I think the title pretty much speaks for itself. If you bought this game within the last two weeks and have played it for less than two hours, you can go ahead and request a refund if you'd like. If you were planning to check it out in the near future — don't spend your money. Just wait until it becomes free. Also, the game has been removed from all bundles it was part of.

There's no special reason behind this decision to make the game free for everyone, and there's no profit angle either. As the creator, I just felt like doing it, plain and simple. It's already been two whole years since the game came out. I think most folks who wanted to play have already done so a long time ago. Everyone else has probably long forgotten it even exists. And as for the rare future players — hey, let them just jump in for free, no strings attached. To all of you who picked up the game back in the day, whether on sale or at full price — I hope you're cool with this change.

I'm done with the important part — and below is some info for the more engaged crowd...

For 2026, we had a bunch of plans — finish this, finish that. But plans are plans, and they often go to hell. I've barely had any creative drive this year, plus my friend has way less free time for our fun adventures these days. So yeah, the year's been pretty meh.

The only new thing we've got this year is that I decided to make a website — just for fun, to see what it's all about, how it's done, and how it works. You know, I've always loved checking out those shiny little one-page sites for games and indie studios, and sometimes I'd stumble upon incredibly useful and insightful articles about game development on them.
Does it help with marketing or promoting games in any way? Not one bit. A billion times more useful would be to just sign up for a dozen social media platforms and spam about your games everywhere every day — like everyone else does. But I don't use social media, and having my own janky little website is "an idiot's dream." So of course, I'm going with my dream, haha! To me, this whole game dev thing has always been that same kind of "idiot's dream" too. And that's the only reason you're reading all this right now... =)

The site's still missing a lot of stuff. I tinkered with it back in July and launched it closer to August 1st. I just work on it whenever I feel like it. So far, I've managed to write two small articles about game development — looking back at past projects with fresh eyes. If you're into game dev or planning to get into it someday, feel free to check them out. You might find something useful or interesting: Bitter Experience.

Best regards,
Ells&Pills

In-game event2 Sep 2026Game Improvements #4Hi, Ells&Pills is here! Although this is a pretty small update, it has (seemingly, lol) resolved the biggest issue, the cause of which I couldn't find or understand for over a year. Everything should work correctly now. This update includes the following changes: · Finally found and fixed the root cause of the issue with the final achievement. Laugh if you want, but I seriously couldn't underst…Major update31 Aug 2026Bonus Game Mode!Hi, Ells&Pills is here! I'm incredibly excited to present the major content update I previewed in my recent posts! Now, some of you might be thinking, "Bro, are you okay? Have you even looked at the calendar?" And yeah, fair enough—since it's September 1st, it probably would have made a lot more sense to release some school-themed DLC or a game called "My Last Bell", lol. You know, where instea…In-game event25 Aug 2026Game Improvements #3Hi, Ells&Pills is here! Here is the third batch of game improvements. The next update will feature a ton of new content and will be released in the coming weeks. This update includes the following changes: · Added Polish localization. This applies to both the user interface and all in-game textures. Thanks to some "Slavic magic," this is probably the closest translation to the original text yet…
