Here are our video and streaming guidelines for the Steam demo, scheduled for release on September 5, 2026.
You are welcome to show the entire demo. There are no restricted scenes or sections.
First-time reactions, thorough playthroughs, and everything in between are welcome. We hope you and your viewers enjoy your night shift!
What you can share
- Once the demo is publicly available, you may record, upload, and stream it from beginning to end.
- Let's Plays, livestreams, stream archives, no-commentary playthroughs, reviews, highlights, short-form videos, and screenshots are all welcome.
- You may edit your own gameplay footage and use your own screenshots in your videos and thumbnails.
- These guidelines apply to individuals, companies, and creators affiliated with agencies. No prior permission, advance notice, or notification after posting is required for uses covered here.
- If you received early access with a separate embargo or publication schedule, please follow those arrangements.
Monetization
You may monetize your content using official features offered by platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. This includes advertising, viewer contributions such as Super Chat, memberships, and subscriptions.
Please follow the rules of the platform you use. This permission does not cover uses beyond gameplay videos and streams, such as selling game assets or merchandise.
In-game music: "Tsukino Yoru"
"Tsukino Yoru," composed by Yurika Takayama (X: @yulicorn03), is the vocal main theme that plays at the end of the demo.
You may include the in-game scenes where this song plays, with the song audible, in your gameplay videos and livestreams. This includes monetization through the platform features listed above. You do not need to notify or seek individual permission from either the developer or the composer.
This permission does not cover music-only listening videos or use of the track for purposes separate from Night Portable gameplay videos and streams. Please consult the rights holder in advance, on a case-by-case basis, if you wish to use the track for another purpose.
Redistributing or selling the audio files is not permitted. The composer retains copyright in the track.
A few requests
- We would appreciate it if you included the game title, Night Portable, and a link to its Steam store page in your title, description, or another convenient place.
- If your content reveals story details or late-demo events, please consider adding a spoiler warning. Please also be mindful of new players when choosing thumbnails and titles.
These are requests for your consideration, not restrictions on sharing the full demo.
Please avoid
- Sharing or redistributing game files or access keys without permission.
- Extracting music, sound effects, images, 3D models, or other assets for distribution or sale without permission.
- Reuploading other people's videos without permission, violating others' rights or privacy, harassment, defamation, or unlawful use.
- Presenting your content as an official developer production or falsely implying official sponsorship or a partnership.
These guidelines are not intended to restrict honest opinions, criticism, or suggestions for improvement.
Other notes
These guidelines apply only to rights the developer is able to license. Please obtain any permissions needed for music, images, or other material you add yourself. We cannot guarantee platform monetization eligibility or the outcome of automated copyright checks.
We may ask for content to be corrected or taken down if it violates these guidelines. Any changes to these guidelines will be announced on this page.
