THE ANCIENTS

The kingdom burned, and somewhere past the edge of its maps five people were already legends. Gilgamesh, Amaterasu, Cleopatra, Lu Bu and Yi Sun-sin fight in a school this kingdom never learned — no Resonance bar, no reservoir, fifteen Signatures instead — and they bring two countries, twenty-one enemies and nine new statuses with them. All of it is free, and so is everything else in this update.

🏛️ Five Legends

Every school in this game charges something. A Resonance bar, a reservoir, a Heat gauge, an Eclipse orb. This one charges nothing at all — it spends that value up front, on three Signatures per hero that are simply always on.

  • Gilgamesh, King of Uruk — everything you own is a weapon. His damage rises 5% for every Relic on the tray, and his reward screens roll a relic 55% of the time instead of 35%. The only hero whose meta layer is part of his combat maths.

  • Amaterasu, Goddess of the Sun — nothing stays on the board. Every end of turn she strips a debuff off the enemy and hits for 5 if one came off, and clears one off herself to leave Burn behind. The only hero who never wants a stack to sit.

  • Cleopatra VII, The Last Pharaoh — take its swing, then charge it for dying. Charm drops the enemy's attack by 1 and raises your damage by 1, per stack. Wealth pays 4 extra Gold per stack when the marked enemy dies, and never decays.

  • Lu Bu, The Great Warrior — the first card you play each turn resolves a second time, free. Three times in ten that copy lands on him instead. A card played from a hand of exactly one has its numbers doubled.

  • Yi Sun-sin, The Great Admiral — the wall that shoots back. The first card each turn that grants Shield grants the same again as Protection, and your Protection is added to your damage. Twenty-three battles, twenty-three wins.

Nine statuses arrive with them, six of them things nothing in the game could do before. Ruin takes maximum HP for the fight and it does not come back. Bared makes the enemy refuse the next buff it gains. Routed cancels a charging attack and starts it over from zero. Standfast caps every single hit. Hoard banks unspent Mana instead of wasting it. Kindling grows every time a debuff comes off either board.

🗺️ Two Countries, Twenty-One Enemies

The Silt Crescent and The Bronze Strait — a river delta and a sea lane, with twelve map tags between them, a claim reward each, and a boss apiece. Twenty-one enemies fight the way the ground does, and like the Pantheon's thirty they carry no ownership tag at all: they are gated by place, and the place is gated by hero. Win there and the country is claimed, on the same three-tier ladder as every other.

📅 Daily Quests

Nothing in this game had ever asked you to leave your main. Three goals now roll every three hours on a fixed clock — not three hours from when you last looked. Each is about three runs of work, and each pays mastery XP, Ash and Essence scaled by how hard it actually is: a goal only one hero can serve pays more than one every hero can.The pool is 144 goals across nine families — cards played, Resonance triggered, statuses applied, nodes entered, bosses felled, runs won, damage dealt and damage survived. Progress reads the lifetime counters the game already keeps, so nothing you do while a goal is live can fail to count. The row folds away if you would rather not see it.

🎨 Every Country Has a Battlefield Now

Every fight in the game used to be drawn on the same two pictures — one arena, one for elites — while the map board animated nineteen countries of weather over a single shared photograph. There are now 21 battlefields and 21 map boards, one of each per country. The boss plate still wins, because that tell is worth more than the scenery. The card face is redrawn too. Art was a 70%-by-55% sticker in the upper half of a frame that floated in its own moat, with the rarity glow painted on top of everything. Art now fills the card, the painted frame sits flush on the edge, and the glow finally sits behind the art. The Mana pips, the element glyph and the corner chips have moved off the frame rail they were printed across.

⚔️ The End of a Turn, One Beat at a Time

Burn, bleed, poison and the enemy's swing all resolved on a single frame and stacked four damage numbers on the same pixel, and nothing said which did what. They play one at a time now — one beat per line of the log — so a turn that kills you is a turn you can read.

👑 Smaller Things You Will Notice

  • Neutral is called Steel. It owns a Resonance bar, an emblem and three heroes' whole identity; "neutral" stated an absence. Nothing in your save moves.

  • The Scorching Region fights in its own three elements — Kiln, Cinder and Glaze, one per hero. Its cards already paid Heat and Sunstroke; they were charging the base game's bars as well.

  • The gods borrow from each other. Every god run now takes four rares and a legendary from two of the other seven, retyped to your own element — Zeus and Hades included, with or without the DLC.

  • Eighteen pairs of cards were the same card twice, one of them strictly worse. Seventeen now trade something instead of trailing on every axis.

  • Seven enemies quoted an intent that did not match the blow, and two abilities did nothing at all. Fixed.

  • Nineteen upgrades changed nothing you could read — six were exact copies of the card they upgraded.

  • Mark is offered only to heroes it can serve. Twenty-one heroes were paying a Mana for a vulnerability their deck could not hit.

  • The Card Sanctum tells two collections apart, so a base streak no longer pays off a Crossing draw.

  • The starting draft shows your actual deck beside the guide, instead of a chip list of its own invention.

  • The Passive tray reads as sockets, coloured by branch, instead of eighteen grey glyphs in a box.

⚡ The GODS DLC

The six paid gods — Hestia, Khione, Ares, Demeter, Apollo, Athena — are in the build and still locked, and the store page is running behind the game. Zeus and Hades were always free and stay free, and both now borrow signature cards from the rest of the Pantheon like everyone else. If the six interest you, a wishlist is the way to hear about it.

🎁 All Free

Five heroes, 155 cards, two countries, twenty-one enemies, nine statuses, daily quests, twenty-one battlefields and a redrawn card. No new price on any of it.Thank you for playing. Bug reports and disagreements about balance are both welcome in the forums — most of the smaller list above started there.
