This is a big one — three major systems, a full AI pass, and a batch of long-standing bug fixes.
Eight unique landmark buildings, one per age from Stone to Atomic:
Stonehenge
Hanging Gardens of Babylon
Great Pyramid of Giza
Izumo Taisha
Ferrum Noricum
Gunpowder Arsenal
Abadan Refinery
Los Alamos Laboratory
Each civilization can build exactly one Wonder.
Standard civilizations have a fixed assignment, while custom civilizations can choose theirs in the Civ Builder's Hall of Fame tab.
Once completed, a Wonder provides a steady resource bonus and grants a permanent empire-wide buff.
But Wonders are also a gamble: each has 8,000 HP and heavy armor, and losing a completed Wonder results in an instant defeat. Every player is notified the moment a Wonder is completed.
Airfields with stationed strategic bombers now receive a new paradrop order.
Arm the tile, select a drop point, and nearby infantry will board available bombers, fly to the target area, and parachute down in a proper stick formation.
Wind affects paratroopers during descent, with stronger drift in bad weather.
Nuclear strikes now use the same control flow:
Left-click to arm, right-click to select the target.
A new Faith resource has been introduced.
Faith is generated by Prophets praying at Temples or at neutral Holy Sites scattered across the map.
Prophets can also convert enemy units and use Faith to cast four Divine Abilities:
Divine Healing
Locust Plague
Meteor Shower
Hellmouth
Completed Temples project a protection zone around them, preventing hostile Divine Abilities from being targeted inside protected areas.
Every AI difficulty tier has been made stronger.
Each tier now plays roughly like the next-harder difficulty used to.
AI players now:
Build much larger standing armies during peacetime
Use the new Wonder system
Use Religion and Divine Abilities
Perform Airborne Operations
Attack in more deliberate and better-timed waves
This should make AI opponents significantly more active and dangerous throughout a match.
