After the last post where I bragged about the settings menu stuff I did (I’m still pretty happy with how it turned out, btw), I decided to test the waters over at r/CozyGames on Reddit.
Previously when I’d tried posting there, the posts were removed because the game wasn’t “cozy” enough. So, I asked myself (and the mod that removed the post) “If cozy shaped, why not cozy?” The response from the mod was that combat isn’t and can’t be “cozy”, and then I was told to post over on r/ComfortGames instead, which is the sister sub for r/CozyGames, but they have self-promo posts locked down because it’s a new sub, so how in the seven levels of the hells was I supposed to let cozy gamers know about my cozy-aimed game?
So I took it upon myself to prove the idea that combat can’t be cozy wrong.
For all those times when you just want to chill and not have any stress about what you’re doing in the game, I’ve added Cozy Mode!

It’s a simple slider that adjusts various settings so you can make it as cozy as you’d like!
Want the default experience? Choose “Apex Predator”.
Want damage but not consequences if you die? Go with “Toy Chaser”.
Want damage to be fully negated so you can romp around with total irresponsibility and no consequences? Go for the “Window Napper” mode and you become a cat god instantly! No more damage for you, bucko!
If you’re playing Cats vs Aliens, I want you to play it the way you enjoy it most. Some people enjoy some challenge, other just want to chill and pay more attention to the pretty pixels, and ALL WAYS TO PLAY ARE FANTASTIC WAYS TO PLAY THIS GAME.
Enjoy!
P.S. I’m not 100% sold on these mode names just yet.
