The first day of fall is here! School is back in session, the summer heat is fading, toasted marshmallows are turning chocolate and graham crackers into fireside s’mores...
And I’m back into the thick of things!
So glad you asked! I managed to make some decent progress on some long-standing and boring to show off bugs – like the one that was causing a frame rate drop any time the map updated, and the one that was making the Cats you’ve already unlocked pop around the map haphazardly. And the one where Steam Input wasn't playing nice causing some folks to be unable to play.
I also got the Fiery River’s boss done :D
Meet the Great Lava Beast:
This one has some new and interesting methods of messing with you on your adventures. Are you ready for the challenge?
Demo is on its way. I know, I keep saying that. Forgive my naiveite in thinking I could manage to push out the last bit of work during the end-of-school-beginning-of-summer madness.
Here’s what’s left on my to-do list:
Add new enemies for the Jelly Fields and Fiery River biomes
Modify enemy waves for Jelly Field and Fiery River biomes
Polish up some shaders and some visuals
Add 3 new harvest nodes
Fix an issue with Steam Input that’s causing some input drops and double-presses
Add the Demo finale
TEST TEST TEST
and then TEST MORE!
Once those things are checked off and the demo is at the very least MOSTLY (ideally completely) bug-free, I’ll let you know.
It sure is, Invader, and you sure can! Here’s a few ways, some of which only take mere miliseconds to accomplish:

Anything and everything you can post about to help show people that Cats vs Aliens exists is massively helpful! I’m spending a lot of my time working hard on code and art, so I need all the help I can get with telling people about the game.
Thank you for sticking with me and riding the tumultuous and fickle waves of productivity.
