First, to be clear: this batch is not a reaction to the recently released prologue — we are still watching how it performs. These are the first round of improvements drawn from several days of play data and feedback since the demo opened, addressing confirmed issues around Blood Moon preparation, mode entry, and display. We said "we hear you," and the direction is not softening the night. It's making sure that before the worst night comes, you can read the danger, prepare for it, and know what to change when you lose.
In this update
- Blood Moon warning — before the Blood Moon rises, the vigil now receives intel: the main direction of attack, the special enemies expected in the coming assault, and a countdown. The Blood Moon itself has not been weakened — but you are no longer the one being ambushed.
- Muster Before the Blood Moon — in the last lull before the Blood Moon, you choose one of three preparations. Two are drawn from the weakest points in your current defense — failing walls, a thinned militia, not enough damage. The third is matched to your captain and the cards you already hold. There is no randomness in it: the offer is built from the run you actually played.
- The Writ: Hastened Procession (solo contract) — the Blood Moon Night node gains an optional variant challenge: the Blood Moon rises one night early, but your captain grows faster. Contract runs do not advance or reset your normal campaign progress — a fresh reason for one more run, with nothing at stake but the night itself.
- Endless mode, clarified — now clearly marked as the long-survival mode, unlocked after clearing "First Night at the Border." Learn to hold one night before you challenge the endless one.
- Fix: the talent panel no longer lists inactive elemental marks; plus a batch of UI and stability fixes.
What's next: we'll verify this update against a week of real data before deciding the next update. Equipment readability improvements are already on the way. Tell us what you think in the community hub — we read everything.
