Hello everyone,
Today we’ll be talking about the player’s primary safe haven and secure place — your base or bunker.
The only safe place and refuge for the player is underground. While the monsters can still sense your heartbeat, the environment is much calmer and safer, which ensures the character’s safety. In the bunker, you’ll take quests, craft, manage your loot, read logs, study information, and much more.

After arriving in the bleak northern city, our character quickly realizes that survival on the surface is impossible. The extremely low temperatures and dangerous monsters leave no safe spot in the city. The only reasonable solution is to find an entrance to the underground communications of the secret city — a system that connects the entire area.
Underground, it’s warmer, and you don’t have to fear monster attacks as much. It also reduces stress and physical strain, allowing you to escape the main threat — the monster that can sense your heartbeat. In the bunker, you can generate electricity, set up basic shelter, gather items you’ve found, and much more.

In the bunker, players will be able to receive quests, read logs related to missions or the game’s world, store items, and manage them across different storage areas. You can also rest.
We are also developing a base upgrade system, where you can use resources to install various devices that give in-game bonuses. For example:
Each device will have multiple levels, requiring more resources to upgrade from level to level, but you will receive more bonuses as you improve them.
The bunker will also feature various interactive objects.

You start the game in the bunker, take a mission, and head to the surface. You can either try to complete the task or start gathering resources around you. Once the session begins, the map will display an exit point — a hatch into the underground communications. The exit will be in a random location, and after extraction, you’ll return to your bunker.
We deliberately avoided having a single, fixed entry point for increased replayability.

Good question. While you are underground, you’re still in the same city, and the monster can sense your heartbeat. You are relatively safe, but who knows...
So, you’ve learned more about surviving in the world of Dreadweave. Make sure to use this knowledge to outsmart the monster! See you next time.
