I want to start by thanking you all for the incredible support and enthusiasm you’ve shown for Under Canopies. Your interest and feedback have been instrumental in improving the game, and today I’m thrilled to share some of the latest updates as I work towards the Early Access release.
I’ve received lots of impressions and suggestions after playing the free demo on Steam, and I want you to know that I’ve taken your feedback seriously to refine and expand the game’s experience. Here are the most important updates:
🛠️ Improved Building System
The building system is now more intuitive and easier to use. Additionally, I’ve added triangular pieces to allow for more varied and creative structures. I’ve also implemented a new feature that lets you dismantle the structures you’ve built and recover some of the resources used. This gives you greater flexibility to modify and personalize your designs throughout the game.
🍳 Cooking System Upgrades
The cooking system has also received a significant upgrade. I’ve added new recipes to expand the options available and improved the cooking process to make it more dynamic and enjoyable. Every aspect of cooking is designed to be a rewarding and straightforward experience in the game.
🌱 In Development: Harvesting System
I’m currently working on a new harvesting system. This will allow you to plant, care for, and collect vegetables that will be essential for unlocking new recipes and expanding your culinary possibilities. This system is designed to be simple, fun, and consistent with the relaxing experience I want to deliver.
It’s important to note that these features and improvements will no longer be available in the free demo, as I’m now fully focusing my efforts on preparing the Early Access version. I want to make sure the next version of the game is as complete and enjoyable as possible.
