Playtest Update — Seekers, Your Gun Works Now!

Peekablock Playtest · published

Shots land where you aim

  • Fixed the third-person aim: the shot now hits exactly what's under your crosshair, instead of quietly missing by a body's width at range.
  • Shooting down at crouched hiders — kind of the whole point of the mode — no longer gets rejected by the server. Dead-on aim is a hit now.
  • Ammo is unlimited by default. The host can still set a limit in match settings.

Everyone sees the splash

Landing a shot bursts paint-colored cubes out of the surface you hit — and that splash is now visible to every player in the match, not just the shooter. Hiders, you'll know when someone near you gets tagged.

The gun forge, fixed

  • The forge now runs every round — no more detached, floating gun from round 2 onward.
  • The gun you painted reliably reaches every other player, instead of sometimes showing up in their hands as a tiny stub.
  • Paint no longer silently drops while you're decorating your gun or body, and players who join mid-session see everyone's paint and skin correctly.

Rejoin polish

  • Coming back after a drop reliably returns your round and your standing body.
  • Joining right as roles are being assigned now deals you into the round instead of benching you until the next one.

Coming next: a start countdown the host can cancel, and an in-game Steam friends panel. Keep the bug reports coming!
