Japanese and French are here
— the game now speaks 8 languages: Portuguese, English, Chinese, Korean, Russian, German, Japanese and French.
PIERCING LASER reworked
— the beam now grows from an emitter that charges at the ship's nose and releases a shock ring when it fires.
Derelict ship
— the type 7 UFO's disc gave way to a drifting hull.
IMPROVEMENTS
Levelling a weapon up is now called out on the HUD and at the centre of the screen.
Graveyard ships are scaled to the threat they actually pose.
SHADOW IX in the enemy fleet now descends straight like a cruiser, without the fighter's sway.
FIXES
Correct line breaking in Chinese, Korean and Japanese — no more words split down the middle.
Each language uses its own font stack, so ideograph strokes render properly.
The achievement toast no longer clips the title, and now shows up in Japanese and French.
Ship achievements quote the name shown on screen.
The intro, ending, credits and robot speech bubbles were missing Japanese.
The screen no longer goes blank when the window reports zero size.
