Cloak And Coin · published · build 24162406
I have a smaller update for you that was born out of wanting to tackle some of the outstanding bugs that have been reported to me over the past few weeks, while also sneaking in a handful of larger quality of life improvements that I hope you'll all enjoy.
One of the biggest additions in this update is the first pass at controller support. This has been something I've wanted to implement for a while, and while it's not quite finished yet, the foundations are now in place. Alongside that, I've continued tweaking Guard balance, expanded the Curse pool in Career Mode, and fixed a number of issues that have been reported by the community.
Added partial controller/gamepad support. All in-game gameplay actions should now work natively by plugging in an Xbox controller (or by emulating one). Menu navigation isn't quite finished yet as it requires a surprising amount of manual work across every existing menu, but this will continue to be improved over the coming updates.
Added Xbox controller input icons throughout gameplay.
Reduced and rebalanced the available hunting radius for Guards across all difficulties to make escaping investigations slightly more forgiving.
Reduced Guard sight range across all difficulties to give Players a little more breathing room when remaining hidden.
Increased the Finale cost across all difficulties, encouraging teams to prepare more thoroughly before attempting the final heist in Career Mode.
Added two new available Curses:
Less Safes – Reduces the total number of Safes that spawn on a contract by one.
Improved Tracking – Guards become much more effective at tracking and hunting Players after losing sight of them.
Added both new Curses to the available Curse pool at the appropriate Career Mode difficulties.
Reduced the movement speed bonus granted by the Faster Guards Curse from 15% to 10%.
Reworked the Increase Vision Curse. Rather than adding a flat amount to Guard vision, it now increases their sight range by 15%, scaling naturally with each difficulty.
Increased the projectile size of the Stun Kit by 10%, giving Players slightly more forgiveness when landing successful stuns.
Fixed an issue where Players could join lobbies that had already reached the maximum player limit via the Lobby Browser.
Fixed an issue where duplicate instances of the same lobby could sometimes appear while searching for available sessions.
Fixed an issue where Players could become stuck on top of the well during the Brewing Troubles contract.
Fixed an issue where the Safe Cracking tutorial tooltip would only appear after exiting the Safe Cracking minigame, rather than before attempting it.
Fixed an issue where Safes could occasionally be empty despite successfully completing the Safe Cracking minigame.
As always if you have any feedback or bugs to report, you can do so right here in Steam's own discussions page. Alternatively if you’d like to connect with fellow thieves and report bugs on the official Discord server you can join today.
Happy heisitng!
