Entering Alpha (v0.3.0.6)

Hi community! In our last announcement we shared that we have transitioned from our Pre-Alpha experimentation stage and have moved into a high fidelity production mode based on all the ideas that were successful and well received by you during that stage. We are excited to release the first in a cascading series of updates as we enter Alpha.

In this update you're going to find:

• Big terrain improvements. We think it’s gorgeous and can't wait for you to see it.
• All new water system. Planets now have ponds, lakes, oceans, and continents.
• Completely procedural, unique, spherical planets. Actually, this has been the case since the beginning, but now that we have continents, it’s worth pointing out again!
• All new UI and experience for crafting. Access the LAIR systems while out in the field.
• All new and greatly improved B.I.T.s for building your base.
• New gear management system.
• Double-click to transfer items between backpack and LAIR.
• Tweaked amounts of refined materials extracted from raw materials. Stuff is easier to get now.
• Increased player speed.
• Drones are easier to kill (but as a consolation to the drones, their ammo hurts more now).
• Performance tweaks and improvements.
• Doubled draw distance.
• Lots of other improvements and fixes.

To all of our existing customers: please take a brief moment to update and try this latest release out. We are really excited to get your feedback on what you experience, since what is here is the product of our community's contribution to the very definition of the game.
