FIXES & CHANGES v1.9.2

Until Dusk Playtest · published

Gameplay & Balance

– Improved lootbox reward flow so players have a better chance of receiving useful weapons, attachments, and upgrades during a run.

– Adjusted lootbox reward logic to reduce frustrating duplicate drops when items are already available on the ground.

– Improved attachment reward behavior so attachments are more likely to appear when they match weapons the player already owns.

– Reduced cases where players receive attachments for weapons they do not currently have.

– Improved overall loot progression so new weapons and attachments are easier to experience naturally during gameplay.

Smart Loot Boxes

– Implemented a new Smart Lootbox system for weapon and attachment rewards.

– Lootboxes now check the player’s current weapon inventory before selecting certain rewards.

– Weapon attachments now require the matching weapon before they can appear as loot.

– Attachments for the currently equipped or owned weapon are now weighted more favorably.

– Duplicate attachments are now blocked if the player already has the attachment equipped.

– Weapon and attachment drops already sitting on the ground are now temporarily reserved, preventing lootboxes from repeatedly spawning the same item before the player has picked it up.

– Dragon’s Breath now only appears when the player owns the shotgun, preventing unusable ammo upgrades from spawning too early.

– Duplicate weapon rewards can still appear, but with reduced weighting so lootboxes remain random without feeling unfair.

Bug Fixes

– Optimized zombie spawn initialization to reduce small hitches when zombies spawn.

– Fixed duplicate spawn-time setup on zombies that could cause minor performance spikes.

– Improved lootbox reward filtering to prevent repeated attachment drops after the attachment has already been equipped.

– Fixed an issue where multiple lootboxes could spawn the same uncollected weapon or attachment while the first copy was still on the ground.
