Couch Co-op

Grids & Goblins Playtest · published

💽 Patch Notes — v0.6.3

New

  • Local co-op — pick Co-Op Run from the main menu and play a run on one screen. Every player claims a seat by pressing a button, picks their own character, and moves a seat-colored cursor; in battle your seat color marks the goblin you're commanding and control passes automatically as turns, chains and swaps hand off. Anyone can answer a counter window. Co-op runs seat the full party up front — no recruits, and nothing is written to your save.
  • A proper main menu over the title card: New Game, Continue, Quit, and a pause-menu route back. Backing out of character select returns you to the menu with your save intact.
  • A company logo movie now plays at boot. Launch with --nologo to skip straight to the title.
  • The Resonant abilities now let you pick which pillar the cascade fires from, and preview every tile it will touch — link lines included, which showed nothing at all before.
  • Executioner and Reaper show their damage multipliers in the preview.

Changed

  • Compass reveals the whole dungeon layout at half opacity; contents still only read one door out.
  • Overworld acts run 13 rows instead of 15.
  • Pillars take 8 damage per impact, up from 5.
  • Powder bomb explosions open their own chain window.
  • Clearing a tower wipes into the next island instead of popping back.
  • Overworld POI icons draw at tile size.
  • The demoscene title intro effects are gone — the title now fades up from black.

Fixed

  • The title screen is no longer skipped after the tram.
