Hello,
I’m Morikichi, the developer of NINDO - Guardian of the Starlit Shadow -.
Here’s a short update on our March–April progress and what’s next.
During this period, I focused on shaping the gameplay of the second protagonist, MUMYO, and expanded his card pool to 75 cards.
MUMYO builds up Dragon Vein stacks as he fights, with two main damage themes:
Wrath Scale (explosive burst damage) and Violet Lightning (steady, scaling damage over time).
Alongside this, I’ve added more card-game mechanics built around moving cards between the deck and discard pile, as well as exhausting cards, to deepen decision-making and play patterns.
Next, I’ll be focusing on improving MUMYO’s card artwork, aiming to bring his play experience closer to the same level of completeness as SUZU.
After that, I’d like to apply the improvements learned from MUMYO’s development to a future rework of SUZU’s card pool as well.
With both protagonists’ gameplay taking shape, I’ll also continue building the story so NINDO can better convey the game’s core theme: the aesthetics and spirit of the shinobi.
Thank you as always for your support.
I’ll share another progress update in the next NINDO DAY.
