NINDO DAY - August Development Update

Hello, I'm Morikichi, the developer of NINDO Guardian of the Starlit Shadow. This time, I'd like to share our development progress for August.

August Development Update

In August, we added an Auto-Play Mode that lets NINDO play itself.

The main purpose of this feature is to serve as groundwork for making balance-tuning ideas easier to come by. By letting the game rack up play counts automatically, we can gather far more play data than we could by hand, and use it to work more efficiently toward better balance.

Future Plans

As a next step, we're building an internal system that can use the data gathered from Auto-Play to suggest balance adjustments. Our goal is to turn that data into concrete improvements to your gameplay experience.

Looking further ahead, we'd also like to make full use of Auto-Play's various parameters. For example, we imagine players creating their own Tier lists for each card, which would change how Auto-Play behaves and feels, opening up a new way to play NINDO: seeing whether you can build a fully automated run that clears the game on its own.

We believe Auto-Play can offer a different kind of experience than what you'd find in other games, so we're going to take our time and build it out carefully.

Thank you as always for your support. We look forward to sharing more progress in the next NINDO DAY.
