Hello,
I’m Morikichi, the developer of NINDO Guardian of the Starlit Shadow.

This time, I’d like to share our development progress for July.

July Development Update

In July, we worked on improvements to make NINDO easier to play and to make the characters’ appeal easier to feel during gameplay.

First, each character now has their own unique skills.
These skills allow players to use specialized effects that match each character’s playstyle, separate from deckbuilding itself.

By adding ways to strengthen the character outside of deckbuilding, we aim to make the game more casual and approachable, especially for players who may not be used to card games.
These unique skills also serve as a place where players can hear character voice lines, creating more opportunities to experience each character’s personality during gameplay.

We also reduced the number of map branches and layers, making each run more compact and easier to play.
This change is intended to make NINDO feel more accessible than many other deckbuilding roguelike games, so that even players who are new to the genre can enjoy the game more comfortably.

By making the overall experience shorter and easier to understand, we hope players can enjoy not only the card game mechanics, but also the characters and world of NINDO more naturally.

Future Plans

In future updates, we plan to gradually add more places where players can enjoy character animations and voice lines.
We will continue exploring ways to make each character’s personality and the world of NINDO feel more natural throughout gameplay.

Updates will come step by step, but I hope you look forward to what’s coming next.

Thank you as always for your support.
We look forward to sharing more progress in the next NINDO DAY.
