Turning Shady Deals into Roadhouse Simulator taught us something important: starting over doesn’t mean starting from zero. We had already spent a lot of time figuring out what worked, what didn’t, and perhaps more importantly... why?
The original version showed us which systems needed more room, which mechanics needed to change, and what kind of game the Roadhouse really wanted to become.

That knowledge became one of the most valuable things we brought into the new project.
Roadhouse Simulator was rebuilt with new code and most of its assets were created or remade from scratch. But we didn’t have to make every design decision for the first time. We had already made many of those mistakes once.
So while the game may look familiar in places, almost nothing was simply carried over unchanged. The old ideas became a starting point, and the things we learned from them helped shape the game you see today.
Sometimes the first version of a game isn’t the one you release. It’s the one that teaches you how to make the right one.
And now, there’s not much left to wait.
After everything that started with Shady Deals, all the changes, rewrites and lessons along the way, we’re finally ready to let you step into the Roadhouse... There are 6 days left!
