Hey Bouncers!

Turning Shady Deals into a full game meant changing a lot of things, but that didn’t mean we threw the original idea away.
Some of the most important parts stayed with us. All The Dots kept its name, the gangs came along too, and so did Octane, who went from being Uncle’s mentor in Shady Deals to becoming someone who could guide a much younger Uncle through the world of Roadhouse.
Some mechanics also survived, although most of them changed quite a bit once they had to support a full game instead of a DLC. What stayed was the core idea behind them and everything we had learned while working on the earlier version.

Underneath that, however, Roadhouse is a much bigger rebuild than you might expect. Around 90% of the assets were created or remade from scratch, alongside new code and systems built specifically for the new game.
So while you may recognize some names, characters and ideas from Shady Deals, what you're playing today is very different from what we started with.
In a way, Shady Deals gave us the blueprint.
Roadhouse gave us the chance to build it properly.

Community15 Sep 2026What we learnedHey Bouncers! Turning Shady Deals into Roadhouse Simulator taught us something important: starting over doesn’t mean starting from zero. We had already spent a lot of time figuring out what worked, what didn’t, and perhaps more importantly... why ? The original version showed us which systems needed more room, which mechanics needed to change, and what kind of game the Roadhouse really wanted t…Community11 Sep 2026Why the Snake? 🐍Hey Bouncers! When we were working on the special attack for Roadhouse , we wanted something that would immediately stand out from the regular combat. It had to be weird, memorable and a little ridiculous - something that would fit the atmosphere of the game without feeling like a random superpower. Do you know the film Toy Story? In it, Woody says, “There’s a snake in my shoe.’” We wanted to a…Community4 Sep 2026READY, SET, OINK! 🐷🏁Hey Bouncers! Do you remember “A First Look at Pig Racing” devlog? We showed you the track before, but there’s a lot more to the story and, of course, to the pigs themselves. 🐷 Our little pigs were never meant to just sit quietly in their enclosure. They escape, run around the property, dig holes everywhere and occasionally make a complete mess inside the Road House! So while the pig racing tr…
