Greetings, survivors!
This major update brings a massive quality-of-life boost for multiplayer sessions: joining players can now actively manage the village and recruit villagers!
We have also introduced a highly requested Chest Item Filter system, overhauled how the Plague Wind operates, and implemented a much-needed Auto Walk feature.
Multiplayer Village Management
Your friends can now fully participate in running the settlement!
- Client players can now access the village management menus to recruit, dismiss, and change the professions of villagers.
- To prevent conflicts, only one player can manage the village menus at a time.
New Features: Chest Filters & Auto Walk
- You can now choose exactly which items a specific chest will accept!
- Filters are fully saved, loaded, and synced in multiplayer.
- Chests must keep at least one active filter, and to prevent lost items, filters cannot be changed while the chest currently contains items.
Give your thumbs a rest! We've added a new Auto Walk feature, complete with updated information in the gamepad options. You can now completely re-customize your character and world directly from the profile selection screen.Plague Wind Overhaul
The Plague Wind has been restructured to be a more consistent, threatening, and immersive event.
- The Plague Wind now occurs exactly once every three in-game days.
- If the Plague Wind starts while you are sleeping, your character will be woken up.
- Sadly, you can no longer engage in casual conversation with villagers during an active Raid or Plague Wind.
Guards & NPC Combat AI
Village defenses have been buffed to better protect your hard-earned resources.
- Significantly boosted guard awareness inside the village limits and raised their base health to make them much more effective defenders.
- Guards will now apply the correct damage based on their specifically equipped bow. Furthermore, all NPC archers will now intelligently maintain a maximum distance from their targets rather than rushing in.
- Improved general NPC engagement behaviors, enhanced their walking and running animations, and correctly loaded existing villagers' health data to reflect the new improved values.
- Increased villagers’ maximum HP to improve Guard effectiveness. Already recruited guards must sleep to reach new HP maximum.
Balance Tuning & UI
- Balanced Plague Nexus mechanics and increased the construction cost of the Apothecary's Hut.
- Balanced the loot setups and drop rates for Plague Ash and Medicinal Root Seeds.
- Rebalanced the Potion of Plague Resistance timer to account for the adjusted Plague Ash economy.
- Adjusted the cold resistance values of various clothing items.
- Improved hover visibility on Trader items. Updated General and Quests localization tables to fix various typos.
