Wildaria — Patch Notes (Closed Alpha 1.1)
🐾 Pets & Companions
New Call/Recall system: summon or dismiss your pet on command with a new button, UI, and full system — no more losing a pet to death or an accidental fight.
Mid-combat pet swapping: swap pets from the hotbar via right-click (or RT on gamepad) without pausing the game.
New Call/Recall VFX: pets now fade into white pixels that fly back to the player, or fly outward to re-form the pet.
16 new pet environment abilities added (up from 4 to 20 total!), including new movement types: Spin, Jump, Stampede, and Blast.
New ability icons and keybinds, integrated across all existing pets.
Mounted pets now correctly play vertical animations when using a controller.
Fixed pet milestone notification text in the Wildapedia.
⚔️ Combat & Arena
You can no longer enter the Arena if your pet is dead.
Controller aim assist now only activates while stopping movement input, instead of while walking and following the cursor.
Dash now defaults to dashing in the direction you're walking.
Call/Recall can now be rebound.
🎨 UI & Systems
Skill point display: once you've invested 3 points, or a skill has no downstream unlock, its number now displays as a plain number instead of a fraction.
Added a Delete Quest button to the quest log. Note: this hides the quest permanently from your log, but the quest still functions in the background to avoid breaking quest logic.
Fixed on-hover item alignment issues with gamepad and when buying from merchants.
💬 Dialogue & Lore
Added a phased Ora dialogue prompting you to consume spore.
Added new dialogue for lore and tutorialization; fixed several typos.
🐛 Bug Fixes
Removed the collider from the taming bubble — tested and confirmed you can still push the bubble by walking into it.
